Here's my finishes over Arthur Adams preliminary cover for Action Comics #815. Commission for an art collector.

There are slight differences between the pre-lim and the published comic cover. The backgrounds are different. Most noticeable are Gog's left hand and the position he's holding the staff. Rather than change everything to look EXACTLY like the published cover, I kept all the original pre-lim pencil as is.

Before inking, I did some pencilling to get all the details/rendering down first. As usual, I would look at Arthur Adams' other work to get as close as possible to how he renders. At the same time, referencing while inking, back and forth.
